Design Challenge:
Use dynamic type, image, and message to create a promotional poster for the Alexander Girard exhibition at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Prompt visual engagement and excitement for the museum exhibit. A meaningful user experience for the audience is the forefront of the design's intention.
Solution:
My design process began with research that led to a deep understanding of the voice of Alexander Girard and his work. Using this research as a foundation, I created the central design elements such as the illustrations, colors, and type styles. With these elements, I utilized grids to create the compositions, blending the textures and imagery with dynamic typography that communicates the message through visual hierarchies. The result was two informative posters that reflect the voice and attitude of Alexander Girard while creating excitement for the audience.
